On a serious note though, this lockdown has made me so aware of how we can reduce poverty through growing our own food, despite lack of land.

This tomato is in what used to be a flower planter. Next to it we have old tyres.
We got a supply of butternuts from the tyres for some time. And the morogo too.

There's a man here in Lebowakgomo that sells dimelwana/seedlings from his van for R1.50-R2 each.

I bought onions & beetroots yesterday. Will plant them in a tyre today.

The onions are doing quite well. Beetroots are taking their sweet time.
There's potatoes growing there in the mix. One tyre, three vegetables. I hope they can grow together.
