There is racism across all forms of sport in Australia.
Netball was never any different. I& #39;ve experienced many incidences of racism within most teams I& #39;ve been part of.

I& #39;ve had to pull girls up for saying the n word then being told to "calm down its just a joke" all whilst the team manager sat right next to me and didn& #39;t say a thing.
I& #39;ve had to see sport psychs about the ostracising I was subject to.
The same sport psych sat in on a training session, agreed that I was being treated unfairly, told my coach, and I got blamed for not making myself apart of the team.

I& #39;ve had an emotional breakdown during a half time to the point of vomiting in a bucket, then putting me back on the court and then telling me my performance was disappointing.
When I was coached by my netball idol I told her the struggles I was having - disappointingly her response was to "just pretend"
These incidences were consistent throughout my netball journey in Australia. There was always a lack of support and there was never any true care for my well-being.
I didn& #39;t even make it all the way to a professional level before I decided I had had enough. I was labelled the difficult player and pushed along.
I& #39;ve previously called out @NetballAust before but there was never any response. I& #39;m assuming because my tweet did not get enough likes for them to care.
I need you to imagine how distressing it is to play with and be coached & managed by people who exhibit Karen like behaviour for 8 years.
