The Midlands is known for it’s beautiful scenery and hidden gems.

There’s so many hidden gems that one never seems to know which one to explore.

This is a thread of restaurants to visit and what they are famous for.

La Lampara

It’s an Italian (May I add Lux) restaurant, You will be welcomed by Pinky who is a menu translator, I don’t a fav meal from La Lampara.

Perfect for a chilled lunch date. Your coins must be ready, it’s expensive.
The Hartford house

Impeccable is an understatement.

There’s a luncheon and fine dinning restaurant which offers a 4 course tasting dinner. If you want to sweep someone of their feet go here, you might just end up booking a room there 😉.
Terbodore Coffee Roasters

You thinking coffee?! Well..I’m pleased to inform you that coffee is not only what they offer but delightful meals, an insightful tour to their coffee roaster.

The restaurant is budget friendly, caters for any type of mood. Please try the pork curry!
Teachers Restaurant

Went there for one of the “Many” first dates I’ve been on. I had a lovely pork belly.

Anyway Management changed and it really sucks now, go there to watch sport, have pizza and drink beer. (The picture isn’t from the 1st date)
Artisan cafe

Let me be specific Durban people, this ain’t the Artisan where Dladla Mshunqisi broke the stage while performing 🤣..

This is my home, great place for weekly catch ups, FREAKIN CHEAP!! Please order crumbed wings, Artisan burger and pizza.

It’s budget friendly, Farmers daughter is my fighter. Booking is essential, they close early ☹️
The Menu

You better go there on a Saturday, there’s bottomless bubbly (Steernburg) for R100. The food is underwhelming, you can go there for the ambiance.

Your coins must be ready, it’s a bit expensive.
Fork and Cleaver

Wagyu rib eye steak!! Need I say more, everything on the menu is divine. It’s always bustling do book a table, order gin and stop side eyeing for blueberry cafe.

It’s really chilled, there’s a wine cellar which you can book for your birthday dinners.
Blueberry cafe

If you haven’t been here and taken pics for the gram, I don’t know what to say to you. Fav spot for the grammers, if you have been here you’ve made it in life.

Granny mouse

It’s my dad’s favorite spot and I’m hoping you getting my drift here (not youth friendly)..
