4: Common
Common was a critically acclaimed rapper but fell off in 2002 with an absolutely garbage album. Then, he came back with “Be” in 2005, an album entirely produced by Kanye West, in which Ye was featured many times. This album single-handedly revived Common’s career.
5: Eminem
Eminem was a pretty known rapper in the early 2000’s. He was on a great run until he released Encore, a huge flop. This album, along with drugs, ruined his career. Then, he was featured on the 2009 hit “Forever”, which made him relevant again before releasing Relapse.
6: Lil Wayne
Wayne had a career which started in 2004, but was never popular until the 2009 hit “Forever”. This song was popular because Kanye West was on it, and it immediately made Lil Wayne a mainstream sensation. He went on to release almost 80 successful mixtapes.
7: Travis Scott
In a 2014 interview with Vibe magazine, Travis Scott stated that “808’s & Heartbreak is the best album ever made” and that Kanye was his idol. Kanye heard about it and immediatly signed Scott after hearing some of his work and promoted Rodeo on social media.
8: Kid Cudi
This one is pretty easy to explain. Kid Cudi had many albums out before Kanye West made him famous by forming a duo with him named “King See Ghosts” and releasing an entire album and carrying him. Kid Cudi is now one of the most popular artists in the world.
