Recently, a DNA analysis of some skeletal
remains at the Rakhigarhi site, have QUESTIONED
the so called "Aryan invasion theory"

RAKHIGARHI SITE IN HARYANA
It is one of the five known biggest townships of
Harappan civilization on Indian sub-continent.
Rakhigarhi,The biggest Harappan site.

Important findings from this site:

* Five interconnected mounds

* Planned township
- having mud-brick as well as burnt-brick
- houses with proper drainage system

* Ceramic industry - represented by red ware

* Ritual system of Harappans
Why Rakhigarhi important?

*Industrial centre of Indus valley civilisation.

*A seal & a potsherd, both inscribed with the Harappan script.

* Previously, Archiologists believed that Early Harappan civilization phase begin from 3500 BC BUT new sites from Haryana are as old as 5000
A paper titled
“An Ancient Harappan Genome Lacks
Ancestry from Steppe Pastoralists & Iranian Farmers”

was published recently, which has challenged many
noted points of Aryan Invasion Theory.
The paper indicates that there was NO Aryan invasion
and NO Aryan migration and that all the developments
right from the hunting-gathering stage to modern times
in South Asia were done by indigenous people.
ARYAN INVASION THEORY
According to theory by British archaeologist Mortimer
Wheeler,nomadic,Indo-European tribe(Steppe
pastoralists/from Anatolian and Iranian farmers)
called the Aryans, suddenly overwhelmed&conquered Indus River Valley, causing decline of Indus
Valley civilization
FACTS GIVEN BY THE NEW RAKHIGARHI STUDY

Inhabitants of the Indus Valley Civilisation (IVC) were
a distinct indigenous people & the DNA of the skeletal
remains matches with the local population.
The skeleton remains found in the upper part of the
Citadel area of Mohenjo Daro belonged to those who
died due to floods & were not massacred by Aryans
as hypothesised by "Mortimer Wheeler".
There was some small movement of people from
Central Asia and mixing of their gene with the
population here. But it doesn't change the
ancestry of the IVC people.
There was NO attack that replaced the entire population.
A genome from the Indus Valley Civilisation is from a population that is the largest source for South Asians.
The population has NO detectable ancestry from Steppe pastoralists or from Anatolian & Iranian farmers.
Harappan genes are present in varying quantities in all south Asians.
THUS IT REJECTS THE INVASION OR REPLACEMENT OF ARYANS.

The genetic results also indicates Aaryans & Dravid are same ancestry.
Rakhigarhi excavation- 4470 BC.

In Rakhigarhi genetic sample suggests Harappans were NOT carrying any genetic signatures from Iranian related ancestry.

THUS IT REJECTS THE INVASION OR REPLACEMENT OF ARYANS.

The genetic results also indicates Aaryans & Dravid are same ancestry.
Prof. Vasant Shinde (man who discovered India's 1st ancient DNA) and Maj Gen (R) GD Bakshi (Author of The Sarasvati Civilisation) to Rakhigarhi in Haryana.

This is the spot of the 6430-70 year old Ancient Indian city that has revealed burials and DNA of India's 1st people.
Prof. Vasant Shinde argues that the DNA findings are distinct to India, which would mean Indians are a distinct human civilisation, indigenous to the sub-continent, NOT 'Aryan Invasion' migrants as has been long theorised.
The tantalising findings provide the first scientific grounding for a Sarasvati Civilisation in India pushing back to more ancient times than thought before.
Rakhigarhi - 150 kms from Delhi, In the state of Haryana.
The spot of India, that is reveling...
What India was and where indians came from..
Rakhigarhi lies on the banks of an ancient paleo channel, a riverbed that many now feel was the site of THE SARASWATI RIVER.
Rakhigarhi excavated mounds.

Mound 1 - Habitation area.
Mound 2 - Manufacturing area
Mound 3 - not excavated
Mound 4 - The Citadel
