[Drabbles from a forgotten age- the thief and the prince]

Cloaked in attire meant for someone above their status, Kokichi blends in with the natural surroundings of faded greens and browns. The sign of new things to come, the end of summer.
Theres a simple breeze that keeps their almost silent wait company. It's not like they have anything really important to do, afterall, they're currently waiting for their next target, whoever that'd be. of course,
it was their luck that brought the prince to their trap that faithful night.

Before we develop further, let me lay out a bit more of the scene, it'll only take a second, I promise.
Beneath the thickened tree of decay where they've taken perch for now, mossy paths carved out over the course of many travels still lit by the glowing beams of moonlight can be observed.
With the breeze, they can hear the sleepy sounds of the wild protecting their every move just a bit more.

Why, if they got caught now, it'd be a surely unpleasant ending to their tale... I'm getting off track here, and so are they.
Distracted by the chipping paint on their nails, they've failed to notice the two royals a distance away until one speaks up about the role they must fill; how they have to split away from this forsaken curse they never wanted to be apart of.
The same could be said for the second of them, he nods in agreence with the positivity the blonde is sprouting. Her words fade out of existence for them as they focus on the softer, but sharper looking of the two.

Something about him keeps their attention,
making their surroundings fade in and out. They're still keen on the details around them, but the lull of his voice makes it hard to focus really.

Soon though, the blonde starts on her own path, going further and further until she's out of both of their sights,
leaving him, and her own destiny behind.

Traveling opposite to her, Rantaro is left to venture the path they've decided to mess with today. They continue to take him in, watching as he secures the area with his eyes.
Is he going to notice amethyst eyes that keep lingering on him? Or will he brush them off like the many other animals to roam the woods?
