So I've read theories of people assuming ij bought shwa new shoes for her bday (before it was revealed that it was from ach) or that he was planning to based on this scene, but then i realised this scene was after shwa's birthday.

This means ach already gave her the shoes, and ikjun noticed she was wearing a new pair.
When ij picked it up, he looked particularly confused. I think he even mouthed the words 뭐야 (what?), before measuring it up.

Going back to ep2, it's been revealed that shwa has been wearing those shoes since she "got" them 10 years ago. Now, im not sure if this was just a translation issue, but it sounded like the nurse implied shwa received those shoes as a gift.
When i first saw this scene, it made me think that there must be some sentimental reasons for why shwa cant let go of those shoes even after 10 years. Maybe it was a gift from someone special? It seemed like the nurse echoed my sentiments too, based on this pic
Now coz I'm an iksong shipper, I've imagined that it was ikjun who gave her the shoes on her first year as a resident, but i didn't really have any proof to back it up...until now.
Looking back at ikjun's reaction, could it be that he was confused coz the shoes looked exactly like the ones he gave her, but at the same time it looked new?
