I don't understand why if someone already knows their history, lineage and culture that they should still identify by a "colour". My ancestors identified by tribe and not skin colour

Only people of African descent who have no knowledge of their self, culture, language, race & -
ethnicity refer to themselves as “Black”

I get the white man will see us the same in the west and I understand why you would follow that label, but I really don't care about what they think.

They are also the same white people who don't wash their ass and think I'm a terrorist
I shouldn't follow a label the white man gave us just because they couldn't be bothered to learn our differences.

Africa is diverse with many tribes, cultures and religions. If you were to go there and see for yourself, not one single person identifies by colour.
It has always been tribe and not colour.

The term "black race" is out dated and a social construct. It was given to us before they even discovered most of Africa.

It doesn't apply to a dark Sri Lankan or an aboriginal even though they are black
I can see in the west they see us as the same and they cant tell the difference. Just because of that doesn't mean I have to follow their view or label they made for me.

Accept that we are different and are not the same. I would rather not be identified the obvious
Just because my skin is black doesn't mean Its something I should identify from. I identify by my tribe and thats it. You have to respect that
