Taehyung aka Vante’s photography: a thread of artful framework📷

Good basic framing of an image will draw&lead your attention to the subject. However, Tae goes for the extra mile in visualizing his frames to be more than just the vertebrae, as any ambitious photographer will.
A general requirement for a good image is to have an eye for composition, and framing is the very backbone of a composition. It’s what keeps everything intact and in context. +
An example would be this photograph from Saipan. Our eyes are drawn immediately to two things: the two trees in the foreground and the subconsciously-made pathway that the treeline creates from Taehyung’s vantage point.
This image is an example of when the framework is the subject itself. Here, Taehyung makes use of the architecture to create a seemingly infinite loop of a tunnel.
90% of the walls & interiors eat up Taehyung’s photo, the remaining 10% to the subject itself. And yet, we are instantly drawn to the mysterious man just at the other side of the door. It’s the tiny window that’s creating more mystery. A profound use of negative space. 👌
Perhaps one of my favorite photographs by Taehyung because of how effortless this image seems but it’s subtly, carefully composed. The foliage framing the entire photograph, but it’s the dark passage behind Hoseok (the subject) framing the very subject itself. So clever.
The fact that we can have three (3) ways to see the framing of the subject shows Taehyung’s incredible spatial intelligence. Here, you can see a diamond, a skewed rectangle, and a triangle. Also, this has to be shot from a low-angle so that these shapes will appear.
Bonus 😋

Even when Taehyung’s just at home and indoors, he’s very attentive to the relationship of objects and elements that he can manipulate them to very witty shots. Also Yeontan is so very photogenic ✨
+1: in this photo set Taehyung uses the doorframes and wooden floor to “frame” his subject, Jimin. At the center where the white shirt pops up, and the mustard of the design being the warmest ashened color out of everything else. https://twitter.com/taefolio/status/1278014069459390466?s=21 https://twitter.com/taefolio/status/1278014069459390466
