I believe that #BlackLivesMatter
I believe that there is a deep systemic problem within the police force.
I believe that there needs to be reform.
I believe I have privilege and having it for so long lead me to be blind to those who don’t.

I believe I will never understand the hardships of the Black community.
I believe in donating to communities and initiatives that will further this cause.
I believe in specific, time-bound, achievable goals.
I believe in peaceful protest.

I believe that this good movement is being framed with hate from both sides and that makes it difficult to navigate and for people to buy in, (which might be their goal).
I do not believe in social media activists speak without taking action.

I do not believe in rioting.
I do not believe in looting.
I do not believe in violence fueled by anger.
I do not believe in spreading hate.
I do not believe that silence is the same as violence.

I believe that everyone is made in the image of God.
I believe we all have different stories, and the heart of the issue is an unwillingness to listen to each-others story.
I believe that we should be listening to the story of #BlackLivesMatter
