hello ; i think i am going to create a new gender ... here is a thread with the base info as i develop this further !

the gender i am creating is going to be an umbrella term; Catgender.

i looked through MOGAI wiki pages and (serious) tumblr MOGAI blogs, and i could not find anything using Catgender specifically, so i think that once i go through with this i would have coined the term.

Catgender is a xenogender that, again, is an umbrella term. Genders that fall under Catgender are Meowgender, Nyagender, Kitten/kittygender, and others that i will talk about later. the meaning of these genders will also be discussed later in the thread.

as a xenogender, Catgender is an identity that is used for autistic individuals, as well as people who may experience delusions relating to being a cat/feline and/or experience species regression. while Catgender will be open for anyone to use, it is STRONGLY preferred that +

neurodivergent individuals identify with it, as xenogenders and autigenderism are genders made by neurodivergent folk, for neurodivergent folk!

the primary pronouns for Catgender will be feline/felines/felineself. but Catgender individuals can use any pronouns they’d like! that being said, Catgender individuals can be a binary gender while also being Catgender. again, it’s how xenogenders work.

Catgender individuals will usually feel an extremely strong connection to cats/felines; either strongly identifying with them or simply wanting to incorporate them into their gender to better understand their identity. again, all are welcome to identify as Catgender!

Catgender is, of course, a work in progress identify, and I am still working on subgenders/other genders that could fall under the Catgender umbrella. an info sheet/carrd will be made and publicized for others to read through and use!

second, as many people already know, a catgender flag has been made!

@irlhowleenwolf made the flag, and i made the version with the emblem. the meaning of the stripes are in the carrd!
