Police are known for this tactic.

As I've stated before, tear gas in your home is A LOT more dangerous than if you're tear gassed out in the open. They use curfews and those compliant to curfews to inflict the MOST harm with these weapons https://twitter.com/motivatefenty/status/1267200027853836289
This is not new. I really really need our memories to be long and our receipts to be longer. They gassed several neighborhoods and organizer frequented businesses.

They will continue to use this strategy throughout the nation.
So let us begin the discussion now about dealing with tear gas in your home/business/enclosed area
I am literally a broken record https://twitter.com/Virtuous_Queen_/status/1267093953742069767?s=19

Tear gas in your home has a long-term impact to your health if you're unable to get it out
As we all know, the chemical impacts our lungs. Keep in mind that we are in a pandemic due to a respiratory virus.

It also impacts our vision.

Imagine being exposed to this chemical in your home for a LONG-TIME because you can't get it out
Your home is not like your clothes. Clothes can be tossed out or washed a couple of times.

Your home is not like your skin. You can wash this away.

It will resonate and have residual impact
If your home is hit by tear gas then IDEALLY you need to completely remodel.

Get rid of the dry wall. Get rid of the carpet. That's ideal.

This is not realistic. The police know this
The next best thing is to hire specialized cleaning services to help clean this out of your home.
I want y'all to understand that when the police are driving through neighborhoods and tear gassing the entire neighborhood, they are intentionally making those homes inhabitable
This not only makes its way into your carpet, your dry wall, but also consider this gas making its way through your ventilation system
I need y'all to understand that even when they drive away their impact will longer forever.

This is a good time for any businesses that specialize in cleaning services to stand up and offer it to these communities
In EXTREME cases, this long-term exposure can even kill you.
You all asked "what is the point".

The point is mass murder. They are using "non-lethal" weapons like rubber bullets and tear gas in the worse possible way in order to seriously impact our health and/or kill us.

That's the point
At this time, the ONLY recommendation I can make is active resistance.

Deal with those active canisters in the streets before the gas can make it to the homes
I know this shit is scary but it needs to be stopped in the street.
I'm going to reach out to military contacts for more guidance.

All I have for y'all is stop that shit in the streets.
By any means necessary that gas cannot make it to your homes. Their vehicle should not make its way through your neighborhood.

I'm going to see if I can get more because when they gas enclosed areas it is dangerous and we truly need more strategy
I found a crime scene servicing site that has some steps here

https://www.jondon.com/how-to/technical-tips/crime-scene-cleanup/tear-gas-removal.html
Pay attention to their instructions regarding the HVAC system.
Notice their emphasis on thoroughly cleaning "soft goods" in your home
"if tear gas powder or residue is not completely eliminated from a structure, the irritating effects of the gas can linger,  making the area uninhabitable and affecting property and business long after the gas is used" https://www.cmmonline.com/articles/a-plan-for-removing-tear-gas-residue
remove and dispose of all porous materials. This includes carpeting, padding, cloth furniture, draperies, electronic equipment, and other materials into which tear gas residue can penetrate; in most cases, porous materials cannot be cleaned completely of tear gas and should be...
...be disposed of properly. If the drywall was punctured by a canister, remove and dispose of both layers of drywall as well as insulation."
Note the point about the gas "soaking into everything". It is difficult to clean and police know that
