A LIL' SIMPSONS THEMED UNITED THREAD ON A MONDAY NIGHT, BECAUSE WHY NOT and it's still lockdown so nothing else to do... READ ON...!!

12 weeks ago we (United royal we, that is) left snowy Semmering , unaware it would be our last overseas break in a loooong while.

On returning to our lovely in-kind @HamUnited office, we found @vixphill diligently building a moat around it... to protect older residents from what then seemed a veeeery far away virus.

We quickly went from "whaaaaa?" to "ACTUALLY let's totes build the borough's response appeal". Before lockdown was even announced, our Trustees led by @KMCW5, and leadership @LBHF were aaall in and super speedy in their support. Thanks @StephenCowan @SueFennimore.

After generous gifts from @FulhamCharity @FeverTreeMixers @HamUnited in early weeks, PLUS from 400 local donors... We went from zero to £102,372 with gift aid (stats AS OF TODAY, baby)! That's YOUR community power, thank you #Hammersmith and #Fulham!

We went from fairly distantly wanting to know our community more, to personally communicating with AND providing emergency #coronavirus funding to more than 80 LOCAL GROUPS in just over 8 weeks!

Alas, we know there is so much more need on the horizon, especially for those who we don't see every day. Including those already sick, isolated, in poverty, at risk of losing their jobs, and who are incredibly worried for their futures.
