Hi friends!! I haven't seen a thread about black-owned restaurants in #Denver yet, so here's an article!! I haven't been to all of them but the ones I have are uncommonly delicious #SupportBlackBusiness #https://303magazine.com/2020/06/black-owned-businesses-denver/
(also if there is a good thread about Denver restaurants written by a black person please link it to me so I can share it here too)
My first wholehearted recommendation is @boneysbbq at the 16th St mall. Some of the best barbecue anything I've ever had in my life and they're trying to keep things afloat by selling fresh smoked meats!! http://www.boneysbbq.com/
As far as drinks and class goes, @barhelixdenver is the shit. I had my very first negroni here (it's their specialty) and the atmosphere is a great mix of bar and cafe. They've got drinks to go at certain hours and they're preparing to reopen soon!! https://www.insidethehelix.com/
For those of y'all who are immunocompromised and have trouble leaving, there's a black owned Denver-based meal prep company called OpenFridge. The cool part about this one is that the executive chef is in the kitchen making the meals with everyone. https://303magazine.com/2020/04/open-fridge-chef-driven-meal-delivery-company-denver/
If youre a fan of ice cream and/or the best pie you'll ever have in your life my favorite in Denver is Sweet Sweetz! They use family recipes for all their desserts, and I've never had one that didn't make me say "oh my god" out loud http://sweetsweetz.com
If y'all have more positive experiences with the restaurants in the article or want to rt or add to it please do!!!!! Some of the best restaurants in Denver are black-owned and it's so important to support them!!
