Am I the only person who thinks all of the following: Covid-19 is much deadlier than normal strains of flu AND we are probably going to have to learn to live with it circulating in the community forever 1/

A 2 month lockdown was necessary on moral and economic grounds AND it needs to end because it will soon do more harm than good 2/

The government was too slow to impose the lockdown AND is proposing unreasonably draconian restrictions like the 14 day quarantine on all inbound travel 3/

The government is lifting the lockdown before it is safe to do so AND the consequences of schools not reopening before the summer holiday would be disastrous 4/

All of which goes to show that the government is wrestling with appallingly difficult challenges AND is failing to respond as effectively as Germany, Greece, Austria, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal and South Korea END
