Oh, I’m very well aware that this is the unpopular opinion, but what can I do if it so happens that I’m right and y’all are wrong?
Ramy is an objectively great show.

Conservatives—the point of the show is not to invite your kids to commit haram. This might be the only show in which the protagonist does not attempt to ‘reform’ Islam/create a ‘Western’ Islam to suit their whims. Rather he hates his own behaviour and wants to come closer to God.
Liberals—representation is a mirage, especially for a community as large and as diverse as ours. If you think you would do better at representing every ethnic/linguistic/cultural/sexual/class/etc difference, you are welcome to strive for that. But I urge you to ask, to what end?
I genuinely believe it is a good thing to have a show in which the main character happens to be a POS, and their S-ness is all down to themselves. That’s a three-dimensional character, not a cardboard cutout eternally motivated by Islam alone whenever they commit good or evil.
