So anyway Gil's primary character flaw is that he's a coward. That's like really obviously it so I'm going to be elaborating on that a bit because just saying he's a coward kind of removes nuance from the situation bc it's very specific and I want to explain
Gil isn't a coward because he's /afraid/ per se, and most of how he's a coward seems to do with either
A. His extreme insecurity leading to a desire to avoid agency at all costs and
B. His extreme masochism causing him to prioritize self punishment over constructive action
