If you’re protesting, use these tips to protect your identity:

1. Do not post your location

2. Do not click “Attending” on any FB Events

3. Use the “Signal” app

4. Disable Location Services on all your apps

5. Disable your fingerprint and/or face unlock. Use passcodes only.
6. Write the ACLU and local rep number on your skin in case your phone dies.

7. Wear a face mask to avoid facial recognition software

8. Cover any distinguishing features (hair color, tattoos), and make sure to blur those when filming or taking photos of other protestors
9. Leave your phone locked when using the camera app. Use the camera shortcut from your lockscreen instead.

10. Wipe metadata from your photos. Take a screenshot of your photos and post those instead of the original photos.
