A few months ago I started significantly changing my #footballindex portfolio.

Last two days I& #39;ve made more in dividends than I have so far YTD.

I& #39;ve not won the lottery. I& #39;m not a "great trader". Just more focused.

Just want to take you through a few tips as to how...
I think I saw @FbiTrader mention it a few days ago but measure your commission/dividend ratio.

The latter should outnumber the former.

I first looked at mine properly in Feb and was HORRIFIED that the two NEARLY MET.

So most of my dividends had gone straight back to FI...
Why& #39;s this?

Overtrading. Jumping from player to player on a whim.

So stop it. And this comes from asking yourself a number of questions;

Why are you buying this player?
Why now?
What& #39;s your valuation of them (ignore current buy price)?
What& #39;s your exit strategy?
Another part of this is understanding your limits.

You can& #39;t jump on every single opportunity. So pick your battles. Pick longer roads you& #39;ll stick to.

Veering off and changing direction too often LITERALLY COSTS YOU MONEY.

Another focus I& #39;ve had is on player valuing...
Others will have done more deeper valuation models than I ever could, but look for simple wins.

Look at PB and potential transfers to bigger clubs. What difference will points for a clean sheet and a win make to their PB base rate? Could they join a more possession based team?
Finally I& #39;ll leave you with this;

"If you don& #39;t find a way to make money while you sleep, you& #39;ll work until you die" - Warren Buffet

There are many ways to play #footballindex but dividends really, really are amazing things.

You don& #39;t need to spend a lot to win dividends...
Ignore the capital cost and instead think of % instead.

You can play CapAp, but having a part of your portfolio who can earn you additional income, however small, will only lead to more growth. And IT& #39;S PASSIVE.

Less trading, less commission, more for you.

It& #39;s that simple
