Should you Tweet or Engage?

[Thread]

If you've followed enough people including me on Twitter...

You'll notice we always mention engagement.

I always preach about it.

Some people have even called me the "Enagagement guy"

But what is engaging?
Enaging is simply interacting with other people's tweets.

So doing the following:

- Commenting
- Retweeting
- Liking

Simple right?

So why is it so important?

Engaging gets you exposure from the tweets originator's followers.

So if i posted a tweet and you commented...
My followers would be able to see your comment.

This is crucial for growth.

But how do you grow from engaging?

ADD. VALUE.

What is adding value?

Simply adding more about the tweets topic.

So if i tweeted "self belief is key"...

You could add value by listing the benefits.
That way...

My followers will see the value you added and are more than likely to hit follow.

Here's my rules for engaging:
- If you like the tweet and can add value. Comment

- If you like the tweet but can't add value. Retweet

- If you like the tweet and can add value and you want your followers to see. Quote retweet.

Easy right?
You should engage with big accounts every day.

I aim for the following things:

- 20+ comments
- 5 quote retweets
- Unlimited likes

Per day.

That get's me strong exposure.
But what about tweeting?

You should aim to tweet 3-7 original tweets a day.

Don't tweet like a machine gun when you first start...

No one is gonna see it.

Space out your tweets let's say every 3 hours.
Engaging with big accounts and tweeting value everyday will explode your growth.

So what's more important?

100% ENGAGEMENT.

Think of it like this.

Without engagement. You get 0 exposure.

Without exposure. You get 0 followers.

Therefore your tweets won't be seen.
