Two #BlackLivesMatter
solidarity marches are taking place in Dublin, Ireland right now. About 2,000 are on this one heading to the US embassy right now. This follows yesterdays Dublin demos, see thread /1

At the same time in the suburb of #Blanchardstown which also looks to be a sizeable march is taking place - at the moment people are not allowed travel more than 5km hence the two marches https://twitter.com/Asiya_Muazzam/status/1267440055662116865 /2
The march on the embassy chanting #BlackLivesMatter
- little police presence as yet, probably like organisers surprized at the huge turnout of 2000+ /3

Dublin #BlackLivesMatter
march has lots of people of colour, usually leading the chants. Very young, strongly female. Here chanting What Was His Name, #GeorgeFloyd

With such a big crowd maintaining social distance is somewhat of a challenge but people are making a strong effort and many are wearing masks
There was also two #BlackLivesMatter
solidarity protests in Dublin yesterday, again 5km travel limit made sense to have one at US embassy and one at US ambassadors residence across the city. Protests also taking place in other cities in Ireland https://twitter.com/WSMIreland/status/1267087484170665991

Back to today, this is the march crossing the canal at Baggot street, about half way to the US embassy
Garda presence picking up a bit as the Dublin #BlackLivesMatter
march approaches the US embassy, further demonstrations are scheduled for next Saturday. Good idea to wear a mask as while people are doing a good job at maintaining social distance it does get harder in huge crowd
