Just some of the places & people in Central Scotland whose work supports #RacialJustice - a thread intended as a resource for action. Support these folk: #BlackLivesMatter
Support for BAME women: @Saheliya do great work re #mentalhealth. @AminaMWRC - resource centre for Muslim women. @shaktiedinburgh - refuge and support for BAME women and their kids experiencing domestic abuse.
In the world of words: @HanLavery writes beautifully about racial injustice and its grief in Scotland. 'The Drift' and 'Lament for Sheku Bayoh' are stunning and devastating. Read her work. Also follow @ScotBAMEwriters.
More widely in the arts world, @briana_pegado is a creative & determined force for good. @Jessica_Brough does great things with @FringeofColour. @Evs_C is fearless in her theatre work. @dardishi are a fab community arts collective of Arab & North African women.
In academia: @UofGUnescoRILA is a fantastic example of ACTUALLY USEFUL academic practice where 'Black Voices' are not just a tokenistic add-on to research. Also, @CARA1933 . And basically anything by @alison_phipps
Learning never stops: @Lighthousebks in Edinburgh have an endlessly inspiring selection of books on #RacialJustice incl. #LGBTQ authors. Even in a pandemic they still deliver books and are generally awesome humans.
Have to stop now. I've missed many out: don't tell me off, tell folk about them instead!

I knew I'd go away and think of more excellent folk and be annoyed at myself.
@nadineaishaj 's 'Let me tell you this' is amazing poetry re navigating racism & sexism with pride.
Also @JackieKayPoet on growing up mixed-race in Scotland: read her poem 'In my country'.
