Thread - It’s taken me a while to process all of the news in the past week. I have felt sad, overwhelmed, lost, and everything in between. But I have taken the past week to find ways to process those emotions and in doing so, I realized I needed to continue to educate myself.
I have been following numerous different accounts trying to find all of the books, podcasts, articles, that give me background information and updated information that’s accurate. This thread will be used to share resources with all of you!
Everything you are feeling is valid, and it’s okay. But please think before making any decisions, posting/saying anything. If you would like to join the African American Culture Club Google Classroom(regardless of your race), for more resources and information, please let me know
The first resource I want to share is a book. Stamped from the Beginning, which also has a young adult version, Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You. I have seen this book posted EVERYWHERE and just bought a copy for myself to read! Check them out!
Here is a guide to help you read through that book if you choose to do so! https://s3.amazonaws.com/WebVault/SLJ/EDIT20/projects/STAMPED-edu-guide.pdf
