I know, this is supposed to be a writer's account for my RP activities and yes, I know RP is supposed to be an escape and safe haven for us all, getting a break from what we struggle with in real life. But in the end all of this here is nothing but a ~

~ reflection of the world 'out there' and that world is hurting. We are all hurting in one way or another. And because of this I need to use the only medium I really know - words - to get my own message to this world out there.

The world has been hurting ~

~ for a very long time now, and so have the people living in it. The pain is just getting louder and louder these days and maybe we should finally notice that scream for change and do something. This world is the place /we all/ share - close to 7.8 billion ~

~ /human beings/ sharing one amazing planet. Each and every one of us an unique individual who is in this world for a reason. Yes, we are different and yes we have different opinions, dreams, hopes, fears... everything. But we still have the chance to see ~

~ that difference as what it can be as well - a chance to grow. A chance to see and acknowledge that difference and learn from each other. To live and let live and exist peacefully.

But there is the problem. We never really achieve that. There is always ~

~ someone who thinks their way is the only right one, making them superior and therefore privileged to tell how it needs to be. That's not working... look around.

People may look different, speak different, love different, believe different - in short - ~

~ live different, but that doesn't make any of us better because of it. When I look around these days all I see is those differences dividing us, leaving us in a hopeless 'us vs. them' situation and that can't be the answer. That only leads to more pain and ~

~ hurting.

I don't know what the answer is, sadly, but it can't be this. I know one thing though, I don't wanna live in a world where people need to fear for their lives for being different. Where people get made to believe having a different skin color ~

~ than yours is a crime and should be punished. Where people can't choose to love whomever they want because it is a sin and again... should be punished. Where people are threatened for what they believe in experiencing all kinds of things. A world were some ~

~ believe they are better than others simply because /they/ decided to be.

Let me tell you something, they are not. And until we all realize that and find a way to exist in a more open, tolerant, including and embracing this diversity we call our own way, ~

~ we're never gonna make it.

I never speak out under certain hashtags, because I feel my voice isn't important enough, or I shouldn't try to react to
something I might not understand. But I've had enough. I can't ignore people gathering for a literal hunt ~

~ here on social media, going after people whose sexual orientation differs from what society tells us to be - straight. I can't ignore people dying on the streets for being of color and therefore alone having less 'value' to some out there. I can't ignore ~

~ faith and religion being used as excuse to keep a war dividing us all. And there is still so much more... I just can't. Because it's wrong on so many levels and we should know better in the 21st century.

This year 2020 is hard on every single one of us, ~

~ in so many ways. Why can't we take this open wound that is causing us all so much pain and take the chance to heal it? Why can't we try to be the change?! When if not /now/?!

I'm just so tired of feeling so helpless.

When you look around in this tiny ~

~ world we all here are trying to create, in order to escape the pain out there, I have to admit... we are doing the exact same thing here as well. Maybe it is human nature after all, but I will never stop believing that we can... that we can change and make ~

~ this world a better place. Together.

Let's just give it a try, shall we?
