Waaaayyy overdue but here's my fave lip products of 2019

Disclaimer: these products were not necessarily released in 2019, but I discovered and fell in love with them that year

Also do bear in mind that beauty products are very personal. Everyone is bound to have their own experience with it.

Starting with my absolute favourite of the year! It all started when @Glo_Up_16 very generously gifted me one shade and the rest is history. This lipstick is a must have!!

The formula is gorgeous?? It has a creamy matte, whipped texture that glides on the lips like a dream. So smooth, so flawless. It makes my lips look like a soft rose petal.

This is literally how velvety soft my lips look when I wear this lipstick:

Clearly this is no exaggeration bc I have 6 shades They're all wearable for pretty much any occasion!

@sunniesface Lip Dip

This brand has some of the most unique lipstick formulas + I love their aesthetic. I'd describe the Lip Dip as a velvet tint? because the coverage is not as intense as a normal liquid lipstick.

This has a soft matte, creamy formula & doesn't dry down like a usual liquid lip. It's more like a creamy lip tint.

The pigmentation is good, as seen in the swatches, but it gives more of a natural "blush" finish rather than intense pigment.

@velvetvanity_ Super Slim Stick

These were an unexpected fave bc I really didn't think I needed them, but now they're my go-to lipsticks!

It's a satin matte formula that feels nice and buttery on the lips. Very comfortable for long wear and it glides on effortlessly with great coverage! I love the shades. Perfect for everyday wear!

4U2 Cosmetics

These were also a "surprise" find. I decided to try these on a whim and they've become some of my faves of all time.

It's a true matte formula but it's VERY lightweight. Probably the lightest lipstick I've ever tried. For a true matte lipstick, it's not drying at all, feels comfy & looks amazing! It gives my lips a beautiful plush matte look.

I'm so happy I tried this homegrown brand last year! They've quickly become my favourite because of the quality and dedication

These glosses are on the creamy side. They're not sticky & feel moisturising, like a lip balm. My favourite thing is they're semi-pigmented! Gives my lips the right hint of colour

2019 was a good year for local brand glosses! I was super excited when this launched and it lived up to my expectations

Again, it's semi-pigmented, which is how I love my glosses. I like to wear gloss alone, so I want some colour but not too much.

This is more watery and the shine is glassy, it's really pretty! Not sticky and also moisturising

@itskameliahq Mermaid Matte Lip Creme

I really had no expectations for this, because I wasn't into liquid lipstick anymore, but this one blew me away

This is my favourite liquid lipstick formula by far! It's a bit watery and takes a while to dry down, but once it settles, it's BEAUTIFUL!

It makes my lips look plush and even blurs my lip lines My lips look really smooth. It doesn't crack or clump and it fades beautifully after a meal. It reapplies very well too

2P Original

Another random find but I'm glad I tried it because I really like the formula! The shades are beautiful too.

It's a creamy matte lipstick that looks beautiful on the lips. The finish kind of reminds me of crayon....? But in a good way! It feels comfortable too.

Wycon Cosmetics

I tried quite a few new (to me) brands last year and this was one of them, and I'm so glad I did!

This is their Mattificent lipstick and the staying power is AMAZING. For a bullet lipstick it's super longlasting, so if you don't like to touch up I highly recommend this. The shade range is beautiful too!

Shade: 221 Velvet Red

And of course I had to get myself a lip gloss This one stains a bit but it gives me a nice wash of colour for a good quick fix.

Shade: 20
