With the #dcblackout, there is some scary stuff we should be prepared for given the state of things. THREAD:

It should be made clear that a lot of people will probably die during the time of #dcblackout. Expect this.

This thread will detail how the government, police, military, militia/mercenary forces will go about that.

This thread will be triggering.

Discretion is advised.

First, the power.

The government only ever shuts off the power to a city for two reasons. 1) counter terrorism, to make it harder for suspects to move around undetected. 2) to crackdown on dissent from the people.

Shutting down the power — in the best of cases — force people back into their homes.

If the lights and water is off for as long as you’re in the streets, you’ll be less inclined to continue the demonstration, assuming you would like to eat/drink/shower etc.

In the worst case, shutting down the power — cutting off the cell phone and internet service — happens when the military is about to start killing people.

A soldier with perfect vision can see a moving target at 300 yards with ease using only the ambient light from the moon, pollution from a nearby city or village, etc to see in the dark.

Those red lights would have no tactical function. They may however help people w/o NODS see

With the lights and power in general off and communication severed — total blackout from the outside world — the military can do literally whatever the want.

And that “whatever” usually involves mass incarceration and murder.

This is what happened in Egypt 2011(?) during the Mubarak riots, and in Turkey right before Erdogen invaded Syria with backing from the U.S.

Same story with the color revolution in Lybia when they murdered Gaddafi.

Without power and communication with the world outside the cordon, the government has freedom to crackdown as hard as they want in order to subdue the demonstration.

And they hold the Blackout long enough to cover everything up, and concoct stories to dismiss evidence.

Similarly, section 210-223 (I believe) of the patriot act allows the federal government to circumvent probable cause, habeas corpus, etc in the face of a national security threat.

No checks. No balances. Just POTUS in the the Presidential Emergency Ops Center calling the shots

This means they have the right to hack, kidnap/torture and disappear you. If it is ever brought before a judge, it will likely be kicked off docket before the grand jury can be convened.

But section Section 223 explicitly prohibits civil litigation against the government anyway.

There is apparently evidence of militarized units carrying lethal, suppressed weaponry.

There is no reason for this other than the intent to kill.

Don’t listen to the folx on here saying #dcblackout is hoax because everyone is “just sleeping”.

I’m from the DMV. I have friends and family at the riots i have not heard from since around 1 am EST. They are not sleeping. They are protesting.

More fundamentally, it’s highly unlikely that thousands of protesters would all stop protesting at the same time, and then all delete their social media and posts from the protest.

The government will circumvent social media and sever connections if they’re up to something bad.

There are reports of sporadic sirens almost like emergency warning systems, lasting about 45 minutes.

This is most likely a civilian defense siren.

It’s typically used to convey danger and to get you to a safe place, preferably your home — especially during a riot.
