WFH? How to Maintain WORK-LIFE BALANCE
I& #39;ve been working from home full-time since the end of March.
I live in a small, 1 bedroom apartment with my partner, cat + dog
I have found it to be the most productive + pleasant period of my career so far.
Here& #39;s what I did:

Here& #39;s what I did:
1. Keep a Routine
Wake up + go to bed at roughly the same time each day.
Shower + Dress before work, even if nobody can see you.
Consciously take lunch away from your desk + relax.
Put a hard stop on the end of your work day.

2. Move Before you Work
Exercise of any kind before you work helps you make a break between sleeping + working
People who walk or cycle to work are HAPPIER than people who drive
Exercise replicates this when you& #39;re WFH

3. Dedicate a space as your workspace.
It doesn& #39;t have to be lush or fancy. Just has to be yours.
I don& #39;t live in a spacious place.
I use a small desk in the bedroom.

4. Focus on Controllable Inputs
Don& #39;t over-load yourselves with targets
@joserosado recommends that you set three goals for the day that are repeatable
They need to be leading - based on actions, not results
Do them until they& #39;re a habit

5. Be Conscious of the Extra Time you Have
Don& #39;t let your extra time go to waste as extra work time.
Don& #39;t let it go to waste in a blob of Netflix or gaming.
Spend it on an active hobby: cook interesting foods, learn a language, read a book.

6. Accept That You Need to Take Breaks
Acknowledge that you need to take breaks.
If you struggle to take breaks:
Use the Pomodoro technique
25 minutes of work followed by
5 minutes of break

7. Take Stock Each Day
Spend 10 Minutes at the end of each day reflecting
Reflect on your achievements
Re-align your goals for the next day
Then LOG OFF - completely disconnect if you can - and call your mother, she misses you.
