So a few brief things that were discussed yesterday at the @ourbaratl ‘Let’s Talk Solutions’ meet up:

As we know early voting ends June 5th and Election Day is June 9th.

If you’re in Atlanta/Fulton Co DO NOT vote Paul Howard as the District Attorney. He has several cases of killer cops & has NOT indicted them. He’s been in this seat for YEARS. Please research the other DAs

Finding out who to vote locally is most important. Also knowing who your district attorney is, is imperative for so many reasons. Will explain in full.

It mentioned that a lot of ppl do not understand the voting ballot. There should def be a meet up on this specifically @ourbaratl

Question 6 mentions if someone has committed a crime & have lost the right to vote, we can vote for them to regain their right to vote. Put “yes.”

Keisha Bottoms promised a closed jail for minor offenses over a year ago. Here’s a petition you can sign to have that done.

Minor offenses are things like traffic tickets, PEACEFUL protesting, etc. Ppl should NOT be getting arrested right now!!

Keisha Bottoms, Paul Howard and the Chief Operating officer (will double check on name & title) are the ones we need to hold accountable for not serving us justice on this Atlanta police brutality. WE AINT GONE LET UP!!

Ppl mentioned not knowing black businesses in their area & we’re working on social media flyers listing grocery stores, etc.

We’re also making templates of companies to NOT support after this

There was talk about a blackout day July 7th, definitely should be one June 19th as well.

However, if there’s some way we could at least do a blackout day once a week, every week until it becomes routine to spend black

Attorney Griggs has a march coming June 19th getting 100 ppl licensed in each county getting licensed to carry. I know there were some that had concerns on protection. His IG is below.
