"We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented." (Elie Wiesel, activist and Nobel Laureate)

The Anti-Terrorism Bill (HB 1083), if enacted, gives the State full power to deprive Filipinos' rights to free speech and criminalize ANYONE who expresses dissent against the gov't.

This carrd summarizes all you need to know. http://junkterrorbill.carrd.co
This thread by reputable and pro-people public official Chel Diokno explains how and why the Anti-Terrorism Bill is just an excuse for the government to exercise tyranny over its people. https://twitter.com/ChelDiokno/status/1266665828742623233?s=19
Another thread that explains the bill's overtly loose definitions of a "terrorist". TL;DR anyone who criticizes the gov't may be redtagged and arrested for subversion. Martial Law, but under a different name and president. https://twitter.com/altermidya/status/1235473155021369344?s=19
A thread of PH groups and organizations to donate to, who mostly will provide assistance and relief to vulnerable groups (such as frontline workers, indigenous groups, and the informal sector) https://twitter.com/kaninrice/status/1267219775148773377?s=19
this is the least i can do to keep the conversation alive. challenge your and others' beliefs regardless of the recent turn of events. educate yourself and the people around you that racism, oppression, and violence should NEVER be tolerated. remember who the real enemies are.
please feel free to reply to this thread with other resources and links that i may have missed!
