It isn't the "responsible," Cork city council officials who will be lifting a dead or injured cyclist off the road if a crash happens. It will be @CorkCityFire @AmbulanceNAS and @GardaTraffic.
Meanwhile cycle-keen parents will take note and sadly keep their children off bikes.

Cork has reduced its dedicated cycle lane network (completely unnecessarily here) at a time when every other city is extending safe cycle routes as fast as they can.
