The issue of rape has been coming up on my feed for a while which I felt I shouldn't talk about but, I felt I'd be a hypocrite for not saying anything.
First, rape is an action detested by Islam, and I don't know of any religion that permit it

Its an action with great punishment, it is one of the greatest sins in the sight of Allah. To those who have intentions to carry one out, I ask you to fear Allah and Repent.
I'm only going to express my view in this thread. I ask Allah to pardon me for the mistakes

1. Position of women in Islam:

Same way we're not suppose to shake every woman not just the Muslim woman.
It's an advice for our Women (Muslims and non Muslim alike) to be wary of male strangers who are not your brothers or your fathers, don't go to secluded places alone.

2. Punishment for the Rapist
The Shari'ah orders that the Rapist pays the bride price of the lady first and then the punishment for fornication follows (i.e stoning to death for the married man and 100 heavy lashes for the non married man), if the action was carried out

3. Why rape has been rampant (in my opinion):
Rape has become rampant in this time just as divorce has become rampant. Everyone is guilty for this, both male and female, parents and children. Some women do not posses anything they can offer to a man except their

"hot body", to them that's their greatest achievement. Which is an effect of the media, naked women dance while a musician sings, he spanks them while they just whine to the rhythm.

Reason we see some men do not think beyond sex. If they see a woman with great achievement, the only thing their mind can comprehend is "so this one get person wey dey service am" I've heard it before, yes! Why don't they think "so this one get person wey dey follow her reason"?

Their minds are weak, they don't see women as anything save sexual objects. The parents on their part make the boys feel more important than the female child, no matter how old the female child is they give the smaller boy more privilege.

Boys are raped too, yes! But the Ladies are the most vulnerable.
