I have been getting a lot of BS for standing up for our police (UK) so let me say this: I did not say there aren’t issue within the system that we need to address. But I do think police officers in the UK are overwhelmingly incredible men and women who care and deliver for US.

I have seen police officers giving life saving treatment to kids stabbed on the streets of London. I have seen police officers holding the hands of mums in court and attending the funerals of people they never knew but felt they had to pay respect to.

I have seen the sacrifices police officers make so they can be there for their communities. Many in the force won’t be able to defend themselves when you call them scum but it does get to them and that’s not cool. So that’s why I said what I said and why I am posting this.

If you have had an experience with the police that you believe is unacceptable or believe a Certain person is not fit to wear the uniform, report them. But don’t start abusing men and women who are keeping us safe and who will be the first person you call if you are in danger.
