The murder of George Floyd in America is the result of racism and white supremacy. This is not an American problem, neither is it only a far-right problem. Every white person needs to educate themselves about how racism manifests in all parts of our society,
from violence to poor health outcomes to under-representation in leadership. It is not enough to be outraged by racism when we see it, it is our collective responsibility to take to dismantle the old system and rebuild a new, equitable system.
Civil society leaders should also support the anti-racist work led by colleagues including @CharitySoWhite @BlackFundUK @ubeleinitiative @RaceJustice to name just a few.
