Wait till you hear what we've been up to in this #BorthwickAtHome update.

Last week we added three new complete catalogues to Borthcat. One of the archives contains this badge - can you guess what it is and who would have worn it?
The first archive, the Papers of Charles Forder, comprises the professional papers of an Archdeacon of York and Canon of York Minster who wrote the standard manual for newly ordained clergy, ‘The Parish Priest at Work’ in 1947. http://borthcat.york.ac.uk/index.php/forder
The Gray, Dodsworth and Cobb Deeds includes deeds of ecclesiastical properties in York, papers documenting the professional lives of two c19 city vicars - James Dallin and John Overton - and records of the feoffees of St Saviour’s parish from 1787-1894. http://borthcat.york.ac.uk/index.php/gdc
Your eye may be caught by item number 50 - an intriguing written warning sent to Henry Warneford of Dunnington and signed by his neighbours demanding he refrain from hunting across their lands!
Finally, the Romans Deeds includes family papers and photographs, property records for Riccall, Cawood and Howden, and records relating to local charities. http://borthcat.york.ac.uk/index.php/rom
This archive contains the badge you saw earlier in this thread. It's a replica of the badge to be worn by recipients - a small insight into the stigma associated with receiving parish relief in the 18th and 19th centuries. #ArchIveLearned
