I just want to say something about this. I don& #39;t know absolutely everything about this situation, but I will try my best with the knowledge I do have. https://twitter.com/KlTTENGF/status/1267229368507654146">https://twitter.com/KlTTENGF/...
1) For the people bullying/harassing this girl and telling her to kill herself, you& #39;re just pretty shitty. Especially against someone who has mental illnesses and a harmful past. Would you do it to anyone else with a mental illness/bad past?
I ask that question with the assumption that you don& #39;t know said person or know of their actions/words.

For those who say yes, you& #39;re still shitty. This is a rhetorical question that doesn& #39;t need to be answered.
2) There are accusations in this post that have been rebutted and backed up, so there is obviously confusion/controversy about the topic or person in question, so I personally have nothing to say about this except to keep a neutral viewpoint until you have all the facts.
Just to restate:

I know nothing of the accusations and am not supporting either side of said accusations.
3) To OP:

I understand that seeing violence in a safe space can feel violating or affect you negatively, but you have to keep in mind that not everyone can take a break from seeing the BLM posts/escape what they experience, especially on a daily basis.
The best advice I can give is to spread the positive posts of BLM and the protests such as petitions, GoFundMe& #39;s, protest tips, info on BLM, etc. A great way to do this is to retweet other people& #39;s posts to boost it. It will help with the negative comments as well-
-considering the focus will be on the BLM movement.

I also recommend trying to (safely) find information on BLM to educate yourself on the topic, whether it is personal research or talking to people in the movement!
I would like to remind everyone reading: this is just what I think from what I have seen over this. I don& #39;t personally think she& #39;s trying to make this about herself, she& #39;s just trying to protect her mental health, which is valid when avoiding the violence-
-that has now been attached to BLM due to police brutality and fake protestors who are trying to make genuine BLM protestors seem violent. Mental health is a very real issue, and you all seem to be insensitive to it.
On the other hand, she does need to be educated and informed over the topic. Instead of attacking her, help her. If you& #39;re really as passionate about the BLM movement as you claim you are, then educate her.
Link her articles, sources, tweets, whatever you deem educational and informative. A little help can go a long way in helping another person understand the movement.
This is all I have to say on this matter. I& #39;m not actively trying to take anyone& #39;s side, I just hate seeing cancel culture like this. Cancel culture is toxic and has become disgustingly twisted, and I& #39;m honestly sick of it.
Any comments under this thread will be deleted. This is not a thread where I have taken sides, nor under debate. I have given the best advice I could, and that& #39;s all.
