1. Ok. I gotta comment on this weirdness, and it may take me a couple of tweets. https://twitter.com/w_terrence/status/1267325982957957122
2. The man talking is NBA veteran JR Smith.

pic 1. JR gets a few kicks in. Not super hard, so either he was pulling em to be kind (which is good) or it was staged.

pic 2. Jr gets that right in as the guy is running. Oddly long extension, but it could be the blurry pic.
3. I will assume for now that this is the actual story.

If so, IMO JR has the right to administer said beat-down on idol looter/rioter. We know what the kid was likely up to.

Especially considering the fact that he was not at all excessive and let the kid run away.

Good move.
4. Plot twist:

Oddly enough, the NBA has gotten very active since the death of George Floyd.
Fair enough.
This is retired player Stephen Jackson, who has been outspoken and called George his 'twin' (not actual blood, but they look alike.)
5. Did you catch it? 7 seconds in.

"Greg, uh..George Floyd."

My boy Stephen is broken up about it.
6. "My twin."
7. Why is that KAT?
NBA star Karl Anthony towns.
Plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves
where so much of this is all going down.
9. NBA player Jordan Clarkson
10. These young men have every right to go out and protest, and I see no evidence of any of them causing violence, but I find it odd that their stories are more and more interwoven into this narrative.
12. As of now, I do not have a conclusion as to what this all means.
But I can't help but see through the lens of what the NBA and China really wants out of all of this.
Are they using athletes to shape the narrative, or are we just seeing random events play out?
13. Final Thought:
In General, I HATE making assumptions based on pics.
But does that not look like the same nose, ears, mouth, dimpled chin, frown lines, and scowl as well as eerily similar hairline?

Nah.
