the TRUE meaning of ACAB:

a mf thread bc i want yall leading this revolution with the right info and truly know what youre fighting forāœØ
thereā€™s been a big misunderstanding of the acronym ACAB (pronounced AYE-CAB) and people think ACAB stands for:

All
Cops
Are
Bad

This is incorrect bc then it opens up the wrong kind of conversation.
if ppl think ACAB means all cops are bad; then it will lead to a very obvious response of ā€œbUt NoT ALL cOps aRe BaD!ā€ ā€” we know. we. šŠššŽš–. yes, not all cops are bad, however, ALL COPS ARE BASTARDS.
ā€œAll Cops Are BASTARDSā€ is the true meaning of the acronym ACAB. ACAB is not meant to be a personal insult, but is used to comment on the institutional role police officers have. ACAB refers to the police as an INSTITUTION. Please remember that.
furthermore, the word BASTARDS derives from the word Bastardizeā€”overall it means to be corrupt/corrupted.

which brings me to my next point.
cops are corrupted in 2 ways:

1) the police as an institution holds the power over the people they patrol. however countless times we see in history & in the current event of George Floyd, this power is abused & is used to inflict violence on ppl, especially black folks.
2) this is the point that rly ties in the reason to why ALL; & yes EVERY SINGLE COP, is a bastard:

cops swore to uphold ALL laws, however some laws are unjust/corruptā€”those laws are used to subdue different minorities.
since cops swore to uphold ALL laws and yes, even the unjust ones, ALL COPS ARE APART OF THE PROBLEM. they are working for a corrupt system that historically supports massive racial prejudice & white supremacy.
while not all cops are bad, the system they work for is evil. so until these ā€˜good copsā€™ quit working for the inherently corrupted system, then these good cops, along with the bad ones, will forever be considered, A BASTARDāœØšŸ§ššŸ½ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤©
