It's #PrideMonth2020. LGBTQ+ people would not have the rights we have today if it weren't for Black queer and trans people. Pride was first a protest against police violence. We have to amplify Black queer voices, not just during this month but ALWAYS. #BlackLivesMatter

A few months ago @twilkeyway said this to me in an interview about her phenomenal play The High Table. It's stuck with me ever since:

The absolute bare minimum, very least we can do this Pride Month and beyond is turn out and stand up for Black people
