Sultan Kaikhusro Begum's son and Nawab of Bhopal in 1926, Hamidullah Khan was an active member of the Muslim League and was a special representative in the Round Table Conference held in 1930-32. Hamidullah's loyalty to Mohammad Ali Jinnah was well known.

The public was full of patriotic enthusiasm in that huge gathering. Then suddenly the Nawab's police opened fire on the people holding tricolour in their hands shouting slogans like " Bharat Mata ki Jai & Vandematram "

Dhansingh(25) Mangalsingh(30) Vishalsingh(25) Chhotelal (16). These four young boys got killed in that incident. Their last rituals were done on 16 January, which was attended by a large crowd, all bid them farewell with their moist eyes.

As soon as Sardar Patel came to know about the incident, he immediately sent B.P. Menon to Bhopal. And finally, 659 days after our independence, Bhopal was merged into India. i.e 1st of June 1959. #BhopalMergerSaga

Many years later on 14th January a memorial was built on the banks of river Narmada in village Boras in their memory. And a big fair is also organized in his memory at the same place every year.
