This economic depression we are experiencing is probably the most important kwa the youth of our country. It is time to start building businesses of the future.

Looking back at some of the previous economic depressions, a lot of industries were going out of business because of a disruption. This time the corona virus has created this disruption.

With all the shutdown and curfew measures, a lot of small businesses and industries which depend on numerous customers such as hotels & restaurants, events and concerts, clubs and bars are going out of business and laying off a lot of employees.

As the virus continues to extend this period of social distancing, the chances of them ever coming back to business gets slimmer. Even if the government lifts up the measures soon, they will still struggle to remain afloat.

This is because a lot of customers will even be afraid to go to crowded places, hence the rent they pay for their for their space, salaries for employees, debt repayment, legal fees, tax & govt expenses will eventually catch up on them because their income will dramatically fall

This in itself, creates a big disruption in the economy and therefore a gap in the market is created. This is where the businesses and job opportunities for the future comes in. The internet is the only realistic option we have right now.

Lets start with jobs. The internet is a tool that these businesses which have high probability of failing will need to learn how to use in order to save their businesses. We the young people already know and understand this technology and these businesses will hire us to help

them save their businesses. Software engineers, digital content creators, web designers and developers, app developers, animators, social media experts, e sport gamers, meme creators, socialites, etc etc. Each of these people have a lot of money in store from businesses.

Now, let's talk business opportunities. We have a lot of businesses in store for us as well. Social media / Digital marketing agencies, app developing companies, software developing companies, home restaurants, e sport leagues, content creation, online events broadcasting. Etc.

However, we must not for one second think that we can make this future happen if we don't support each other. We need to have love, compassion, unity and understanding among ourselves. We need to stand for each other and have each others backs.

We should support each others businesses and ventures, we should also stick with each other when injustice and crimes are done against our own. We must love each other. We must all think beyond our differences and ideologies and come together to create one common purpose

The time to create change and to also help ourselves is now. Let's not think about destruction but construction. Tujengane pamoja.
