I’ve been thinking about crime shows and how the influence people’s perception of the police

The cops are generally always good, they solve the case and they do use force but it’s hardly ever questioned or challenged and is presented as necessary to save the day

There are sometimes bad cops, but they get taken care of by the good cops

And we’re often show the sacrifices they make or the fear they have for their families that they put aside so they can look after and protect us

I dunno where I’m going with this really but there are so many crime shows out there. They must play a factor in people’s perceptions?
