The Quota System in Sindh enforced by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, was imposed in 1973 for 10 years, in 1983 GeneralZia-ul-Haq extended it for 10 years. In 1993 Nawaz Sharif Extended it for another 20 years then in 2013

In 1973; Post quota disturbance, a "Joint Memorandum" was signed between the seniors of both Rural and Urban communities. Accordingly,it was agreed that in addition to Quota Syatem, All "Top Public Positions" will be shared by both communities
