There’s been an ongoing debate on Gulf twitter related to racism and tribalism wether it presents itself directly or indecerectly in the form of nepotism or who someone marries or preconceived notions / discriminations surrounding a certain race/ethencity etc
For the most part, the younger generation seem to be committed to standing against this . But their are pockets that carry over the same mentalities of older generation citing “its culture or its prefrence not racist we don’t have racism here “
In your opnion, what are the best ways to combat these mentalities ?
1. Media or tv shows that tackle these issues?
2. Schools teach the multi ethnic/tribal history of the country?
3. Have a more individualized societal structure ?”
This thread might need better wording but just to throw this out there. If this is a societal problem ?how do we resolve it ? And this is only speaking from national to national perspective . It gets more more complex when it’s national to expat etc .
