A sad kind of angry seeing so many people where I live dismiss the BLM movement as a thing only important in the US like racism isn& #39;t a massive issue here too.

"Don& #39;t import US politics" well but how about supporting a cause that will give the black population here confidence and reaffirmation that they& #39;re worthy of respect?

I& #39;ve grown up watching people being discriminated badly based on their nationality, it& #39;s not a stretch to assume that it looks the same if not considerably worse when your skin colour is different. Systemic racism is a thing here too.

I& #39;m deleting this thread in a bit, it adds nothing to the conversation and I don& #39;t want it to seem like this is just outrage for "woke credit" but it& #39;s angering and disappointing.
