This thread disgusts me because In trying to provide accurate information you use language/rhetoric that defends the abusers and you leave out VITAL information.

Also this thread conveniently fails to mention that a caveat for these inaccurate numbers includes “Victims often fear calling the police, because they know the case will be handled by officers who are colleagues and/or friends of their abuser.“
Another caveat failed to be mentioned?

All of this saying that your “28%” is VERY under reported. But even that under reported number indicates that domestic violence is 2-4 times more common among police families than the average American family. Which was not mentioned as a concern in your thread
