Has everyone forgotten that George Floyd committed COUNTERFEIT and was RESISTING ARREST? Not to mention, he was already claiming he couldn't breathe before he was on the ground, so his death is clearly not the cop's fault and likely the result of some sort of drug in his system..
..or underlying medical condition. Look at the video. Floyd kept falling to the ground as they were trying to walk him to the police car, in an effort to evade going into the police car. The video is out of context. In the Chauvin INDICTMENT BY THE PROSECUTORS ON FLOYD'S SIDE...
...the detailed account of the incident describes Floyd continuously fighting the cops and falling on the ground repeatedly. He was struggling against the officers when they were trying to put him in the car, intentionally falling back down, saying he was not going in the car...
...and refusing to stand still. While standing outside the car, he began saying and repeating that he "cannot breathe." NOT when he was being pinned down or crushed by anyone. Then Chauvin went to the other side of the car, after trying to get him in from passenger side.
They pulled Floyd out of the car. Then, according to the indictment, "Mr. Floyd went to the ground, face down." It does NOT say that Chauvin or anyone else pushed him. Then, the cops started trying to hold him down.
He was resisting arrest and could have been viewed as a danger to the cops. The police pretty much had no choice.
Not to mention Floyd DID NOT die from strangulation or anything due to Chauvin's treatment of him.
Not to mention Floyd DID NOT die from strangulation or anything due to Chauvin's treatment of him.
The autopsy specifically says that Floyd died from obesity and a drug in his system. It does NOT mention anything a cop did to him as cause for death. The autopsy said "there were no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation...
...The combined effects of Floyd being restrained by the police, his underlying health conditions, and any potential intoxicants in his system likely contributed to his death."
The underlying health conditions mentioned were coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease.
The underlying health conditions mentioned were coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease.
Keep in mind, Floyd would have NEVER been restrained by the police if he hadn't resisted arrest. Not saying someone DESERVES to die for these crimes. But everyone knows when you fight with the police while you're already under arrest for another crime, you're taking a risk.
It's terrible that the man was killed. But let's be frank, it was his own fault. This isn't an Ahmaud Arbery situation WHATOSEVER. Nor does this have anything to do with race.
It's a simple case of a physically ill criminal who had taken drugs fighting with the police and getting himself killed.
The media are also falsely depicting this man to have been a responsible, bright young man with a future. He had been arrested multiple times for VIOLENT CRIMES. Two theft convictions in the '90s.
Theft w/firearm in 1998. Criminal trespassing in 2002, and aggravated assault and armed robbery in 2007, in which he put a gun up to an innocent woman's abdomen and searched her house for money and drugs.
This was with a gang of thugs, including one who struck the poor woman in the head and sides. Floyd then took her cell phone and jewelry, unable to find any money or drugs.
LET'S BE QUITE HONEST - THIS WAS A BAD GUY. OUR SOCIETY IS SAFER WITH OUT HIM. At first, I felt bad for this guy dying over what sounded like a relatively minor, but still entirely unacceptable, crime.
However, upon viewing more facts, I realize that this man was 100% in the wrong and his death had NOTHING to do with race or police brutality. Sorry not sorry. Why aren't we talking about the innocent, brave police men killed in the riots started by these savages.
All this rioting over the death of a LIFELONG CRIMINAL WHO WAS TRYING TO FIGHT THE POLICE WHILE BEING ARRESTED, AND DIED DUE TO DRUGS AND A HEART CONDITION! What a warped country we live in when right becomes wrong and wrong becomes right!
