Just because we will be on GCQ does not mean the virus is gone. It isn’t.

On the day we announced GCQ, DOH recorded the highest spike of COVID at 539 cases. That’s a total of 15,588, mostly in the NCR.

Make no mistake: We are not yet safe. We have not yet flattened the curve.
We cannot further overwhelm our already overwhelmed healthcare system.

Moving forward, we STILL need to ensure PPEs for frontliners, work-from-home arrangements, safe & sufficient public transpo, & better support for & coordination w/ LGUs. And of course, #MassTestingNow.
I reiterate my call: Let’s make our decisions based on RELIABLE & UP-TO-DATE DATA. We need to decide based on the complete picture. Buhay ng Pilipino ang pinag-uusapan natin dito.
Today, 18,086 na ang cases. On the day GCQ was announced: 15,588. Clearly, tumataas lang ang mga kaso, & ang taas ng spike in a matter of mere DAYS.
