when you retweet a famous persons tweet about the #blaclivesmatter movement going on right now and #JusticeForGeorge and then simply never mention it again you are apart of the problem. although we appreciate our idols for using their platforms to inspire change...
it doesn’t mean the fight is over. the fight will never be over. by not using your voice no matter how big or small and failing to spread awareness except when celebrities do and then you can copy their words... that is not only disrespectful but also useless...
it is important that we never stop sharing important information and other resources to help this cause. because of the ignorance in our society today we will not stop until justice is served and poc no longer have to fear for their lives on a daily basis...
i am not black but i hear you, support you, and stand with you until the day that this issue is resolved or i die trying. people need to acknowledge their white privilege and use it to help the oppressed that have been put in danger simply because of the color of their skin.
