It’s pretty embarrassing and disturbing to see a prominent black Democratic politician, Susan Rice, going on CNN and suggesting - without a shred of evidence - that these unprecedented protests across the country, against racist police violence, are being pushed by... Russia!

"They have fomented some of these extremists on both sides," Rice suggested on CNN, again without evidence, and again ignoring the fact that protests caused by decades of structural racism and police brutality don't need to be blamed on or attributed to the Russian government.

To be clear, I’m not saying no foreign actors have tried to take advantage of protests/divisions - but that 1) requires evidence, & 2) should be lower down the list of discussions.
