When I tried to share this same message (through a peaceful protest), I was told by some Athletic Adminstrators that I wasn’t a team player, I was selfish, I was a distraction, and that I was costing the University money from donors and season ticket holders, what am I missing? https://twitter.com/pitt_athletics/status/1266908504784285697
Why is this hashtag enough? Why is this message suddenly acceptable to you? If it’s not, why has it taken so long to come up with a better message? @Pitt_ATHLETICS @PittTweet @PittChancellor @Pitt_LykeAD
Is this a Nike marketing ploy? Is this intended to make up money lost from donors and season ticket holders with apparel sales? Why can’t you use your own words @Pitt_ATHLETICS @Pitt_LykeAD @PittChancellor @PittTweet?
Two and half years later, and all you can come up with is a Nike commercial to RT? Do the racist fans not pay us money anymore? Black People have been getting murdered since, and long before, my protest in October 2017, why take a (weak) stance now? @Pitt_ATHLETICS @Pitt_LykeAD
So... you are acknowledging that there is a problem, that racism is institutionalized in the United States, particularly in police work, correct? You just don’t believe we have a solution, that’s okay, what do you suggest then? Or just keep the status quo, you’re okay with it?
You don’t seem to understand what institutionalized racism means, or how it works, or how it extends back and still works today. Good day.
